This box sits closest to the traditional Moroccan jewelry box that Mana Atelier's grandfather made when the workshop first opened — a rectangular lidded chest, star and arabesque marquetry across the lid, a few points of mother of pearl set into the pattern, and a small brass lock and key. It has stayed in the lineup for three generations because the proportions work: compact enough for a nightstand or vanity, large enough to hold a genuine collection of jewelry, and simple enough in form that the marquetry stays the clear focus.
Each piece is unique. Thuya burl grain never repeats, so the exact tone, figure, and inlay pattern of the item you receive will vary slightly from the photographs shown.
